Women played an important role in Final Paleolithic and Mesolithic
societies

Rebuttal

A women helped men to do deal with some minor jobs such as dressing
meat, making clothes, preparing primitive food.
|
A man stayed the main
daily breader.
|
A man could hardy manage
all deals without a women. Neither could a woman without a man.
|
We all know that a woman did not play a first fiddle in primitive
economic relations between mankind and nature. All that she did was just an
additional, secondary deals that helped a man after his hunting. Although, a man could hardly manage without a woman who
dressed meat, made clothes, delivered children. That was her main responsibilities
that nobody else could handle. But it should be admitted that some scientists
underestimate the role of a woman in primitive societies. They pay more
attention to the fact that it was a man who performed a daily breader role. However,
a man can hardly manage with women responsibilities as well as it was impossible
for a woman to survive without a man. Therefore, taking
into account some physiological peculiarities of a woman body and due to a hunting
character of the Stone Age economy, we must underline that the both sexes
created a winning relationships where a role of every participant, including
woman, was significant.

1. The topic itself is the best feature of this paragraph, because it concerns the role of women in society that is always an interesting theme to think about.
2. The part of rebuttal is in the beginning of the paragraph and concluding sentence is a little bit distracting. So the format is not completely correct.
3. The topic sentence is clear
4. The main idea is clear. Supporting sentences help us to debunk the topic sentence
5. Concluding sentence begins with an appropriate end-of-paragraph signal, but, as I said, is slightly distracting.
6. Supporting sentences support the topic sentence and at the same time expand it.
7. There are accurate transitions in the paragraph.
8. The third sentence should be removed from the beginning as a part of rebuttal.
9. Between "additional" and "secondary" in the second sentence should be a dash.
Women played an exceptional role in Final Paleolithic and Mesolithic societies
Argument Counterargument Rebuttal
Although performing minor household functions (such as dressing meat, making clothes, preparing primitive food), a woman played an exceptional role in primitive hunter societies. A man remained the main daily breader. Only a woman could produce a new generation of hunters.
As it is widely known the role of a woman in societies of any time was rather passive and secondary. The same can be said about societies of Final Paleolithic and Mesolithic: this fact was proved by ethnographical researches by Borys Symchenko. Although at that time a woman did the secondary job, such as dressing meat, making clothes, preparing primitive food, her exceptional position cannot be underestimated. Still some researches (Leonid Zalizniak) admit that the function of a daily breader was performed only by a man. Taking into account that the economy of the mentioned societies was of hunting character it is clearly understood that without the hunted food no woman would have survived. But here occurs another fact that should not be omitted. It is the main woman’s physiological function to deliver a baby. A new baby, namely a baby boy, meant a future hunter and a breader for the family. Thus, the exceptional role of a woman is obvious.
